Judge Yourself!

Shelita’s personal notes; my interpretation of the message preached! Enjoy

Gave her testimony of how God healed her of cancer. For a moment she a pity party “why me Lord?” But then she got her mind and spirit from a victim mentality to a Victor mentality and allowed God to manifest her healing. We have to make a decision that even though things may be going on in our live that we don’t like we are not a victim. We have to get back to expecting victory. 2011 is going to be a glorious year but only if we expect it.  This message is not to make us feel bad or condemn us but to remind us of the things that we need to do in order to receive God’s power in our lives.

1Co 11:27-32 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.  29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Gave the example of her 2 year old niece who is very bold and daring and sometimes likes to jump off the stairs. Even though as the loving aunt that she is and likes to spoil her and not be the disciplinary, in order to protect her from hurting herself she has to do just that.  So like wise God is the same way, let us not think of God’s judgment of our behavior anything less than love. The judgment of God is the grace of God to try and save your life!

Mr 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
43 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
This scripture is not talking about your physical right hand but instead those things in our lives that offend God and have not place in the life of a Christian. God will let you know what needs to be removed!

Christians love to live in the gray area….you where the bible  may not be as clear and they feel that they can argue certain points such is …...not having to coming to church…. Or drinking because Jesus turned water into wine, or up in the club because the bible doesn’t say anything about that (yes it does revellings is (partying)  Ga 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Mr 9:44 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
45 And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:
46 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Mr 9:47 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
48 Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

We will study the life of Samson to see the consequences of not judging and how he got there in the first place; because he is not that different from us.
Jg 13:1 ¶ And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.
2 And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and bare not.
3 And the angel of the LORD appeared unto the woman, and said unto her, Behold now, thou art barren, and bearest not: but thou shalt conceive, and bear a son.
4 Now therefore beware, I pray thee, and drink not wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing:
5 For, lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head: for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb: and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines

God has also called us to set apart from this world for His use an His purpose!

There should always be something good happening in your life that you can not explain!

Jg 16:4 ¶ And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.  5 And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.  6 And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.  7 And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withs that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.  8 Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withs which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.  9 Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.
10 And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.

Why did Samson behave with such stupidity by teller her even though after by the 3rd time he had do know that she was really out to get him?
He loved her more than he loved God and he was prideful and thinking that not matter what she did to him God’s power and anointing would be there but he was sadly mistaken.  Don’t let the Delilah in your life make you stupid get rid of her! And each of us knows what issue (Delilah we have in our lives it’s time to stop judging others and check ourselves!)

Jg 16:11 And he said unto her, If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.  12 Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.  13 And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.  14 And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.

Here we see that Delilah is not the first time that Samson has had issues with a woman… it’s just that he refused to check himself and deal with this issue but in the end it caused him his life. What about us… what issues in our lives that have been there for so long and we haven’t really dealt with we’ve just been riding on the wave of God’s mercy?
Jg 14:1 ¶ And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.  2 And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.  3 Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.

Samson played with fire Do not mistake the mercy of God for you being ok in your mess

God is a God of commitment…..

3 reasons why people have a problems checking themselves
  1. people run when they get challenged
  2. sorry didn’t get….email me if you did please!
  3. Too busy judging others…   Mt 7:1 ¶ Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.  3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?  5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Jg 16:15 And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.
 16 And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;
17 That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.
18 ¶ And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath shewed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.
19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.
20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.
21 But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.
22 ¶ Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again

Jg 16:28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.
29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.
30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

God is full of Mercy and allowed Samson to accomplish more in his death than he did when he was alive…..but he didn’t have to die if he would have judged himself.

So let us take some time out to check ourselves before we reck ourselves and GET READY for the best year ever in 2011!!!!
