God Took Care of Your Care!!

This was my very first sermon in Word of Faith BTC (Bible Training Center) 2001. I wanted to share it with you as a reminder that it doesn't matter what you are going through right now, honey God already took care of it! Wow brings back memories!!!! :) I kept it in outline form, frankly I just didn't feel like pulling it apart and making it neat! LOL you will get the message though!

1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your care upon him for he careth for you.

 

BODY/OUTLINE

I. How do we cast our care?

A. back up and read verse 6, humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:  Humbling ourselves is how we cast our care unto God.   

I. Prove that God has taken care of your care by breaking down the scripture in its entirety:

A. Casting: (GK) To throw upon, sudden motion, to fling, quick toss.

B. Care: (Gk) Through the idea of distraction:

Distraction (AH) A diversion from an original focus. Anything that compels attention, or distracts. Extreme mental or emotional disturbance.

C. Upon Him: according to Luke 4:18, We know that the Spirit of Lord is Upon him, which is the Anointing, which B.R.Y.D.P.O.G

 

D. For: (Gk) because

E. Careth: (GK) to be of interest, concern.

                   Interest (MW) to persuade to participate or engage.

Concern (MW) to be the business of, involve, engage, and occupy.

My Amplified Version:

Quickly tossing anything that is a distraction, a diversion from your B.T.C process, anything that is compelling your attention or causing extreme mental or emotional disturbance, quickly toss it to Holy Spirit who is the B.R.Y.D.P.O.G because you have made it His business, involved and engaged Him when you humbled and subjected your own ideas, methods, and plans under the power of God.

WINDOWS/ILLUSTRATIONS

My sister had a big mouth, which always got her into trouble. I was the quiet one and one day we were on our way home from school, destination bus stop.  About 5 or 6 girls began to circle around us. I looked at her and said, "what have you done," she said, "nothing," and began to explain the situation to me.  I told her, "do what I tell you to do and I'll take care of this, don't do what I tell you to do and I'll let you get beat down." (humility is simply doing what God told you to do, it's obedience) When the girls closed in on us, they thought they had the upper hand because I nor my sister said anything, but before they could touch her, Suddenly! I began beating about 2 or 3 down so bad that the rest of them took off running. What did my sister do? Nothing, she just humbled herself under my authority and I took care of her care, What do you have to do? Nothing, just humble yourself under the power of God and He'll take care of your care! Glory to God! So you can tell the Devil to back up off you in the name of Jesus, because you know when the enemy comes in, like a Flood the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a Standard against him, because God took care of your Care! Glory to God!

CONCLUSION:

In conclusion I want you to do 3 things: (1) cast your care like the line on a fishing rod, be still and know that He is God, (2) remove your hand from the situation and watch the power of God bring your manifestation, (3) call the enemy's bluff, because it's nothing but hot air, say this with me, because God took care of my Care! Glory to God!
