Learn to Build and Fight at the Same Time!

When is the perfect time to move forward and pursue your dream. You have been thinking about it. You are longing for it. But you have not made a move due to circumstances.


If you have a dream on the inside of you placed by God don't wait until you feel the time is right because everything is aligning. The right time is determined by God, not circumstance. In fact, when you begin to move forward in God's plans and purposes you should expect opposition. If you are going to do what God has placed in your heart then you will have to learn to build and fight at the same time.

Nehemiah was a man who understood this question. In Nehemiah 4: 17, it states that the men were building with one hand and had a sword in the other. Despite the opposition, they continued to build and work towards their restoration.

You will have to learn to defend the vision God has given you. Mark 3: 27 tells us that no one can enter a strong man's house without first binding him up. You see the opposition comes to discourage you by binding you up in fear, animosity and concern. However, you have to realize that the dream spoken to you by God ensures success if you only believe.

Luke 11: 21 states that when a strong man is armed and keeps his palace, his goods are in peace. When you learn how to protect and fight for your dreams, your goods will be in peace.

God equates people who aren't willing to fight for their dreams to people who are lazy (Proverbs 26: 13) because the see what they feel is a lion in their way. The lion represents opposition and is placed in our path to hinder us from moving forward. Our enemy is as a roaring lion (1 Peter 5: 8) seeking whom he may devour but God has given us power over the enemy (Luke 10: 19). We just have to believe in the power God has given us.

Even though the year is more than half way through, you can still REIGN – but there are some things you will have to fight for. DON'T be afraid to have faith. Be strong. Be very courageous.
